In the old days, Jaboulet's fills were always highly variable. And so we learned a long time ago to look more closely at the vibrancy of the wine's color and the condition of the cork. If the color's good (as it is here) and there are no signs of ever having leaked (as is the case here) a bottle will often be outstanding. Many of today's top domaines provided fruit for this bottling.
